June 23 | On July 22, two suppliers will release environmentally themed DVDs that could scare up some goosebumps, one with a global warming documentary, the other with a horror film.
BFS Entertainment & Multimedia will release Gulf Stream and the Next Ice Age: A Planet on the Brink of Catastrophe (prebook June 24; DVD $22.98).
The documentary from filmmakers Nicolas Koutsikas and Stephan Poulle demonstrates how disruption of ocean currents caused by global warming could lead to a new Ice Age in Europe.
Global warming comes to the horror genre July 22 in The Last Winter, a psychological thriller and environmental message movie from Genius Products (prebook now; DVD $19.95).
Starring Ron Perlman, the film shows what happens to an oil company drilling team in the Arctic region of Northern Alaska after one of their members is found naked and dead in the snow.
