Monterey acquires whale documentary

June 23 | Monterey Media has acquired Australian documentary Whaledreamers, an “eco-sensitive” film that addresses the spiritual bond that seems to exist between whales and dolphins and the world’s indigenous people.Monterey will release the film in theaters this summer ahead of a DVD release.
Director Kim Kindersley is working with Australia’s Climate Friendly Group to ensure that the film will have a neutral carbon footprint.
The film was produced by Kindersley and Julian Lennon, who has pledged all proceeds from his song “Saltwater,” which is part of the film, to the ocean initiatives of Greenpeace.
