Consumers are becoming savvier when it comes to broadband Internet connections. A new report from In-Stat "US Residential Broadband Services: How Fast is 'High-Speed?shows that more consumers are starting to understand that higher broadband speeds mean faster Internet service and download times."
In-Stat found through testing that the average downstream speed of a US broadband connection is 3.8 Mbps, while the average upstream speed is 980Kbps.
Most, 83%, said they were “very satisfied” or “somewhat satisfied” with their current service. -J.N.
