Verizon not singing Gershwin's 'Someone to Watch Over Me' on filtering

Writing on the c|net News Blog Anne Broache reports on Verizon Executive Vice President Tom Tauke's luncheon discussion regarding ISPs' filtering traffic at an Internet policy conference in Washington Wednesday. Quote: "From a business perspective, we really don't want to assume the role of being police on the Internet," Tauke said in response to a question from Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), who moderated discussion with the executive. "We are leery of using these technologies on our networks."
